Well first off, Happy New Year!
Haven't blogged in quite awhile, sorry about that!
For this post, I wanted to talk about the "book assignment" that was given to us a couple of months ago.
I finished my book a while back, and feel that I have extracted useful knowledge and interesting facts.
I wanted to start off by saying that this assignment itself, was a bit alienating to the iQuest experience.
What I mean by that is, I felt that the assignment didn't really assist in the growing/building up of my experience in the medical field; albeit the book had great facts and information.
The book threw many random facts at the reader about "how many injuries happen on average per year" and other information that you think you could find in the Guinness Book of World Records or a simple Google search.
Sarah Lennard-Brown really knows how to fill up every page, and not leave a single empty spot. She has filled the book with illustrations, pictures, diagrams, charts, small facts, as well as the big writing with no space to spare! I felt fulfilled on random Sports Medicine related facts upon completing the book; however, was left unsatisfied to an extent on how broad the book was on sports related injuries.
In conclusion, Sarah Lennard-Brown did a great job of making every page worth its while, but didn't really touch base enough to really attract more readers, or have readers come back for a second book if she had written a "Sports Injuries 2".
